Why do you give dimensions on the website if all your furniture is bespoke?

Stating dimensions on our website allows us to give you a guide price for the item and also will give you an idea of our ‘standard’ sizes, from which you can then base your own requirements.

What else can I alter about a piece of furniture apart from the size?

Wood type, colour, fabric, finish, patina, handles, hinges and level of distressing are just some of the details that can all be altered to suit your taste or to match existing items. We can change the shape of the furniture, adjust the firmness of sofas and other upholstered items, or even create an entirely unique custom-designed piece from your brief.

Where is your furniture made?

All of our furniture is made in the UK by highly skilled craftsmen. Please come and view this being made where we can show you how each piece is made. The workshop and showrooms is in suffolk at Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Sufffolk, IP145LS

What type of wood is your furniture available in?

All of our furniture can be made in oak, cherry and mahogany or many other timbers. We also use English pippy oak and burr oak, and other specialist woods subject to availability. Please ask us about any other woods you may require, we can usually accommodate special requirements.
Prices on this website are for oak items unless otherwise specified.

What fabrics can I choose from for upholstered furniture?

We have a wide range of fabrics for you to choose from including Jim Dickens, Swaffer, Linwood and Robert Allen, or you can provide your own - we can give you guidance on suitable fabric types for different levels of wear and usage.

What are your payment terms?

30% of the total is payable as a deposit at the time of ordering, with the remainder being due on delivery.

How long will my order take to arrive?

All items are made to order and delivery is normally within 12-14 weeks. We will provide you with a more accurate timescale at the time of ordering.
Is delivery included?

Yes; our guide prices include VAT and delivery to most UK locations

I have seen items I am interested in where can I go to see them?

Our showroom and workshop is based in suffolk at Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Sufffolk, IP145LS

How durable is your furniture? I like wood but worry about the maintenance.

All of our furniture is specially treated to increase its heat resistance so hot mugs and plates are highly unlikely to leave marks. Most customers find that scratches and other impact marks simply enhance the character of furniture, particularly if it is already distressed.

We will provide full advice on taking care of your wood at the time of purchase and with our after-sales service you can rest assured that we are only ever a phone call away should you need any further advice.

What periods and styles does your furniture range cover?

We have ranges to match most styles of furniture, including shaker, gothic, William & Mary, Georgian, Chippendale and art deco, and can design specific pieces from other periods if required.

We can also match the style of any range or piece you already have.

What accessories are available?

We can produce cushions and curtains to virtually any specification to match upholstered furniture, or we can supply you with additional fabric.
